I have fleas in my apartment. I don’t have any pets and I have complained to the management. They have called a pest control company but I have a 2 month old. I am wondering if it will really be safe for her to come back to once the treatment is done. They said I have to be out of the apartment for 4 hours.

Fleas are extremely difficult to deal with because they have complex reproductive cycles. Female fleas lay eggs everyday that hatch anywhere from 2-10 days. You have to treat inside and outside at the same time. Be sure to vacumn all hard and carpeted floors just before and after treatment. Empty vacumn in exterior receptical and leave vacumn disassembled during treatment so it gets chemicals in it too. We use Aerosols inside

Can you tell me if a pest control company that has visited your place 3 times and there are still fleas, what would they be doing wrong. They say this has never happened to them before. They why would it be happening nw. There was a l00 day guarantee, thank goodnes, but, they are trying to blame all kinds of senarios instead of may be they are not using the right stuff. It is carpeted floors and now there are no animals in the apt. that is being treated. Do you think that all carpets will have to replaced and if so what treatment is required to prevent the fleas from being in the new carpet. Thanks
